Priority One - God

The law of the Prophets while standing on one foot:

1) Love God with all you are.

2) Love your neighbor as yourself.

I accepted Christ as my savior in 1992. Up until that time I was an atheist, then agnostic. The process of conversion took awhile. I was such a good scientist. If you couldn't prove it - it didn't exist. Well, you can't prove God exists with logic. But, then, you can't disprove Him either. I was reading the thoughts of Levin in Anna Karenina (by Leo Tolstoy) when the means of getting to faith overtook me. No harm comes from believing in God. So why not believe? Faith is all downhill from there.

How to Become a Christian

• Admit that you are a sinner. You're not alone - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)


• Believe in Jesus. The Bible says, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31). Put your faith in Jesus and you will be saved!


• Commit your life to Christ.  If you are ready to turn your life over to Jesus, pray a prayer like this: Lord Jesus, I admit that I'm a sinner. I know there is nothing I can do to get rid of my sin. Forgive me and take away my sin. Come into my life and make me a brand-new person. Help me to follow You and learn to be more about You. I give my life to you. Amen.
